Metropol Hotel is a luxurious five-star hotel with a unique architecture in the heart of Moscow. It was built in 1905 on the initiative of Savva Mamontov, the famous Russian industrialist, merchant, entrepreneur, and patron of the arts.

The best architects, artists and sculptors of the late 19th century and early 20th century took part in the creation of this outstanding monument of the Russian modernist style.

The hotel is located in the center of Moscow, three minutes walking from Red Square, the Kremlin and the Bolshoi Theatre.

Today Metropol Hotel combines all splendor of antique luxury with the latest achievements in the field of comfort and continues to host such VIP guests as kings, presidents, ministers, politicians, outstanding culture workers, artists, and world-renowned celebrities.

Hotel Metropol offers more than 300 luxurious rooms, including historical suites with original interiors dating from the 20th century.

Metropol is also proud of the new rooms, made in the style of Art Deco. The interior design of these brand-new rooms reflects the sublime combination of modern comfort and luxurious antiques.

All of the rooms have individual layout and decor: the restoration work, done at Metropol Hotel in 1980s, is a claim to fame of the hotel. The chandeliers, paintings and vases decorating the rooms were specially sent to the Hermitage workshops for restoration.

Refined furniture of the beginning of the 20th century, antique decorative items, high ceilings and the outstanding views of the Moscow historical centre that open from the windows of the hotel will give the guests an extraordinary opportunity to plunge into the luxury and comfort of Metropol Hotel.

Metropol Hotel offers its guests a unique environment for meetings, banquets, seminars and press conferences. The guests are welcome to choose from a string of luxurious halls, each with an individual history and design.

Many famous Russian decorators have worked on the spectacular design of Metropol Hotel: the halls are famous for their neoclassical decor, magnificent mural paintings, exquisite stucco mouldings and stained glass windows.

The Metropol Hall is especially well-known for its stained glass dome and graceful marble fountain. Several halls are also named after the great Russian authors: Chekhov Hall, Turgenev Hall, Tolstoy Hall, Gogol Hall, etc.: here the guest can find big photo exhibitions dedicated to the life of the writers.

The zoning of the halls provides an opportunity to arrange truly large-scale events: some of the halls are connected with each other so that about 700 people could be seated at the same time, and others are two-storied, which allows the second floor to be used as a VIP zone during a banquet.

The Executive Lounge is one of most stylishly renewed areas of the Metropol Hotel in addition to SAVVA Restaurant. Hotel personnel, dressed in uniforms by Alexander Terekhov, the famous Russian designer, will serve the guests.

As it is known, the Metropol Hotel was born as the union of novel standards of hospitality and fine arts, so such collaborations expand this marvelous tradition.
