A PERFECT DAY IN MOSCOW

MORNING
A park is a perfect venue to get inspired for your perfect day in a big city. The most charming and renown one is Gorky Central Park which is home to several green zones, famous landmarks, cycle and jogging tracks, a variety of sport spots and pop-up art exhibitions. Work out, have a scenic drive through the gardens, snap some pictures, step into Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, have breakfast in one of the little cafes with a view on Moskva River – this peaceful refuge in the centre of the city will energize you for the rest of the day.
Just across the street from Gorky Park you will find Museon – often missed sculpture park, featuring The State Tretyakov Gallery (XX Century Collection), free book exchange libraries and a plenty of casual walk-in cafes. The place is well hidden from the hustle and bustle of the traffic and offers a great opportunity to unwind and study Russian contemporary art. Then you may walk to Bolotny Island and drop in any of the cafes for a light lunch. We would suggest Bar Strelka as an option – a trendy place with a terrace and a variety of quality food and drinks available from early morning until late night.

AFTERNOON
After lunch, head to Danilov Monastery – a jewel of Russian Medieval architecture. With its history tracking back to the XIII century, the monastery served as a fortress to protect Moscow from the South, a historic archive and even a prison. Nowadays it is recognized as a spiritual centre of Russian Orthodox Church and as a residence of the Patriarch. Continue your journey and take a tram ride to Leninskiy Prospect, catching a glimpse at Gagarin’s Monument and Stalin’s elite blocks dominating this amazing open area. Russian Academy of Science is your next observation point – from here you will have the best view of the South-West with barely any other people at the scene – the place is well-hidden from the main streets and is surrealistically quiet.
If you have some time left – take a taxi to Mosfilm Studio – the biggest film production company in Russia. Its space is open for visitors but advanced booking is a must. You will see shooting pavilions, requisite storages and even decorations of towns where most of the soviet cinema masterpieces were shot.

EVENING
When the evening comes, the Bolshoi theatre lifts it`s curtains to wow you with a splendid ballet or a breath-taking opera. When all the tickets are sold out we will make sure you will get the best seats. Conclude your day with a late dinner, which is quite common in Moscow. The restaurant Bolshoi is right behind the theatre. Pushkin café could also be a nice final touch in the most classy and elegant Russian style. The reservations in both places are required.
If you feel like having a drink, Noor Bar with its friendly ambience and extravagant cocktails is located just across the street from our hotel. The Toy with its nice weekend programs can be also an unforgettable experience.
